Umaira Farouk
Teaching Assistant
Ms. Umaira holds a Masters in Guidance and Counselling, as well as a Bachelor of Psychological Arts from James Cook University, Singapore.
During her extensive career in the education sector, she has worked as a research assistant, a student care teacher, a counsellor-in-training and an administrative assistant. In Ms. Umaira's classroom, she focuses on creating a positive, inclusive environment that fosters resilience and personal growth in children.
At Astor, Ms. Umaira supports our full-time teaching staff in promoting curriculum development and in providing empathic and calm guidance to our students.
During her personal time, she enjoys spending time in nature, engaging in arts and crafts, and practicing yoga and Pilates.
