If you’re at home and wondering what you can do to keep the children entertained, try making these creative and beautiful necklaces!
Equipment:
3 pieces of A4 paper
A pencil or pen
Glue
Colouring crayons or markers
A pair of scissors
Elastic string for your bracelet
Instructions:
Step 1: Get a piece of paper and draw outlines of about 20 different types of shapes.
Step 2: Get creative and colour in the shapes. Have fun using many different colours to create patterns within each shape!
Step 3: Cut out your individual shapes.
Step 4: Wrap one side of the first shape around your pencil then put glue on the remaining side. Wrap the side with glue all the way around and make sure to hold it down for a few seconds.
You just created your first bead! Continue with the remaining shapes and make sure to wrap all beads nice and tightly.
Step 5: Measure a piece of string and make sure it is long enough for the necklace to fit over your head. Leave enough string so that it is easy to tie once you’re done.
Step 6: Carefully pull the beads through your string. Make sure to hold one side up so the beads don’t fall off.
Step 7: Tie the necklace a couple of times to make sure it’s tight. Cut off the excess ends.
Step 8: Show off your new necklace to friends and family! ;)
