About Astor International School
Founded in 2019, Astor provides affordable, high-quality international education within a nurturing and creative learning environment. Our preschool programme focuses on play-based and inquiry-based learning, supporting early development in literacy, numeracy, and social skills, while integrating arts, music, movement, and creative expression to foster confidence and curiosity in young learners.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and School Management
Teaching and Learning
Plan and deliver engaging, play-based and inquiry-led lessons aligned with early childhood best practices.
Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that supports children’s development.
Support children’s early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development through hands-on learning experiences.
Observe, assess and document children’s progress, and provide feedback to parents.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those requiring additional support.
Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum Development
Foster a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom culture where every child feels valued.
Support children’s emotional well-being, behaviour and social development.
Ensure children’s health, safety and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Build strong, trusting relationships with children to support their confidence and independence.
Parent and Team Collaboration
Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers on children’s progress and development.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan activities, share ideas, and maintain consistency across classrooms.
Participate in school events, meetings and professional development sessions.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECDA-recognised preferred).
At least 1–3 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood setting.
Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning approaches.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for working with young children in a nurturing and engaging environment.
A team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
