Our Curriculum
At Astor International School, we provide a balanced and holistic education by combining the rigorous foundations of the Singapore Math and British English curricula with the dynamic and internationally-recognized International Primary Curriculum (IPC). This unique blend ensures our students develop strong academic skills, critical thinking abilities, and a deep curiosity about the world around them.
We deliver our curricula using an enquiry-based methodology that embeds learning.
International Primary Curriculum (IPC)
The IPC is a thematic, creative approach to learning that promotes international-mindedness and personal growth. Designed for children aged 5–11, it features a clear learning process and targeted goals for each subject area. IPC units are organized around engaging, real-world themes that spark curiosity and connect learning across disciplines such as Science, History, Geography, Art, Music, Drama, and Physical Education.
Every IPC unit has a distinct learning process, providing a structured approach to make sure that children’s learning experiences are as stimulating and rigorous as possible. Every unit begins with an Entry Point and builds knowledge through research and enquiry towards a meaningful Exit Point, with activities that encourage students to make connections, reflect on their learning, and take ownership of their educational journey.
Enrichment Classes
Beyond the core academic curriculum, we offer a broad range of Enrichment Classes designed to inspire creativity, build new skills, and support the holistic development of each child. These optional classes take place in the afternoon and cover areas such as Art, Dance, Coding, Robotics, Music, Languages, Sports, and more. They provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, discover new talents, and build confidence outside the classroom.
Courses We Offer
Our courses are thoughtfully designed to support the academic, social and emotional development of each child. In addition to core subjects like English, Mathematics and Science, students engage in Humanities, the Arts, Physical Education and Personal Learning Goals. We also place strong emphasis on collaborative learning, problem-solving and global citizenship, preparing students not only for academic success but also to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
