Carolina Alpizar

Ms. Carolina holds a TEFL Certification and a DELF diploma in French, an MSc in Organisational and Occupational Psychology from the University of Sussex and a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. She has taught at the University of Sussex and Intensa Language Institute, and has provided personalised Spanish and English lessons as a freelance tutor. Her language teaching is rooted in immersive, student-centred methodologies that foster meaningful language acquisition and cultural awareness.

As an ESL teacher at Astor, Ms. Carolina creates an engaging and inclusive space where learners can build confidence and communication skills. With fluency in English, Spanish, and French, she brings a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and is passionate about helping students connect through language.

Outside of teaching, Carolina enjoys running, barre, Pilates, travelling, and discovering new restaurants across the city.
