We are delighted to share that Astor International School has welcomed Little Ones
Kindergarten into the Astor family.
This partnership brings together two schools that have long shared the same values: a deep respect for childhood, a belief in small and nurturing learning environments, and a commitment to building strong, trusting relationships with families.
A Natural Alignment of Values

Astor International School was founded in 2019 with a clear vision — to create a boutique, community-focused school where children are known, supported, and encouraged to grow with confidence and curiosity. Over the years, Astor has been recognised multiple times as Singapore’s Best Small School and Best Affordable International School, reflecting its commitment to personalised education and high-quality learning.
Little Ones Preschool has built a similarly strong reputation as a warm, caring early years environment where children feel safe, happy, and excited to learn. The decision to bring Little Ones into the Astor community was guided by shared educational philosophies and a mutual desire to protect what truly matters in early childhood education.
Continuity for Families and Children
For Little Ones Preschool's families, continuity and stability are at the heart of this transition. Little Ones will continue to operate in the same way families know and love, with its existing programme, routines, and teaching team remaining in place. Ms Carol will also continue to be actively involved through June 2026 to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition.
Astor’s role is to support and strengthen Little Ones behind the scenes — providing leadership, governance, and long-term stability — while preserving the school’s unique identity and close-knit community feel.

Founder-Led, Parent-First Approach
Astor’s Founder, Elena Holloway, is a mother of three and a long-standing member of the Little Ones community, with her children attending the school since 2020. Her involvement in Little Ones comes first and foremost as a parent, with a strong commitment to preserving the care, trust, and warmth that families value so deeply.
Astor’s Principal, Shannon de Winnaar, who has led the school since 2020, will also support Little Ones as part of this partnership. As a mother of two and an experienced school leader, Shannon brings a calm, child-centred approach focused on wellbeing, strong communication, and continuity for families.
A Gentle Pathway from Preschool to Primary

This partnership also creates an optional and natural pathway for families who wish to continue their child’s learning journey from Little Ones into Astor International School. With shared values, familiar educational approaches, and a strong emphasis on wellbeing, children can experience a smoother and more confident transition into primary school.
There is no obligation — simply an additional opportunity for families seeking continuity and familiarity as their children grow.
Looking Ahead
At its heart, this partnership i
y stage of their early learning journey.
We look forward to growing together with Little Ones Kindergarten and continuing to place children, families, and relationships at the centre of everything we do.
